I am currently doing work with Doordash delivery. I often find houses at night with unnoticeable addresses attached to their residence. In an effort to discover an easier way to find the unobservable address, I look for it on the curb. After multiple times of seeing a faded curb address, I thought it would be a good side business to provide an often overlooked service for houses in various neighborhoods. I would very much like to find out more on starting a business. Google had brought me to your site via YouTube video.

I am doing research for my son who would like to start a business like this in Mississippi and found your YouTube video. It was very informative. Thank you for the detailed explaination and visual demonstration, it was very well done. I want to know more and look forward to the instructional materials you are so generously offering.

I started researching curb number painting this year when our home numbers (probably painted several years ago) became faded to the point where they were unusable. I wanted an additional means of easy identification for our house. Thanks to the videos on this site and a few other websites I picked up enough information to paint numbers that look better than most of those in our neighborhood and should last a while.

I am super excited to try this idea out. I own a painting and roofing business and think this service would create lots of warm leads for other work and ad to my branding in each neighborhood I work.

Joe - I am a lifelong resident of Florida where it rains as much as any State, 10 years of those in Orlando mid-state where we get rain from both coasts, so much so that it is known as the lightning capital of the world and in the summer you can practically set your watch by the rains every afternoon. It never affected income a bit. I would just paint in the morning before the rains (and heat). I got innovative and called rather than hung flyers which meant the bulk of the time soliciting I could do by phone in the weather of my house. Where there is a will there is a way. It also enabled me to keep good records and for the ones who told me they had huge numbers on their roadside mailbox as one example I skipped for many, many future years. I would suggest one idea would be calling group managed properties (associations) during the worst weather days. I would suggest next to come up with ideas yourself - that is how one takes this business first done in 1910 or any business to new levels of victories & success.

I am in college right now and my job I used to have just wasn't paying enough. I noticed a lot of people have had their curb addresses painted in the past, but it was starting to get old and faded. So a few months ago I decided to go out one day and see if I could get any business painting curbs. Needless to say, the first day was a huge success and I made Nearly my whole 2 - week pay period check in about a weekend.

David, I appreciate your story. It sounds very intriguing. I painted some curb addresses for the first time this last November and December. Made some nice pocket cash... and then the light went on. There is a potential for much more than I was doing. I'd like to learn more about how you built this into a business, rather than just a hobby for extra cash. Thanks.

Thanks David for the one of a kind information about the hands down best materials for fastest use, preparation, and clean up. I first used hard paper stencils & tape for the background which took forever & I had to keep replacing the stencils. Then I used interlocking brass stencils much heavier, sharper & more expensive & I had to burn the paint off to clean (which weakened the stencils each time)! Your 30 yrs of knowledge sure paid off and I will be ever grateful.

This is an awesome business model. I know of people who do this and make $40 an hour part time. It looks like a great business to get into. It seems to be low cost, easy to do, doesn't take a long learning curve to learn and it seems to make a ton of money. I also like the idea of contacting Home Owner Associations. Thanks for letting us know about this business. Al

I'm 17 and I've been doing curb painting for about 6 months now and I can say it is the best job for any youth or adult who needs to make some extra cash fast!! You can go out whenever you need to and make 60-80 dollars in less than 2 hours!! There is still a lot for me to learn and I would like to know how the master does it :)
